Hello, Welcome to Foxtrot Tech Trips, Where I don’t give tips I go on trips to the store and buy things I’m interested in. Now, here's my review on the New and Trendy Pinterest icon, the 3.5mm Apple Earpods, now on sale for 14 bucks on Amazon! Now the speakers on the Earpods are excellent, as they can block out most noise and the music can get loud enough to cancel out the noises outside of the buds. They get louder when compared to earbuds in the same category and the microphone is excellent as its placement is located near the mouth which lets the voice be crystal clear. Now these features seem all fine and dandy but here’s my personal gripes. They are loose. Probably just a me thing but after being a headphone user for about 5 years, I cannot wear these. My wireless earbuds however do fit due to them having a silicon tip. It's just about luck and if you have tight ears. So contrary to Pinterest performative posts, I would be more focused on pushing these things into your ear rather than reading. Due to their intentionally loose design, they serve more as a nuisance than anything. I also did not have a pleasant experience walking with these, as only one could actually stay in my ear. They are also get scratchy and hot when worn for long periods, which causes more discomfort. The microphone is good but the placement is just horrible as I usually just tap it and the bud falls out of the ear half the time. So how will I use them? Mainly for the DS I have, as they are light and small and have the 3.5mm jack, much better than using my bulky DT 770 pros. This has been a good experiment but I will stick with my bluetooth earbuds as they’re just so practical. I can make a review on those wireless ones or the DT 770 Pros later, or perhaps anything else if anyone asks. Till then, This has been Foxtrot’s Tech Trips.
